Hey!

Well that's us finished working for the Kumara Box in Dargaville. 5 weeks of picking Kumara - what an experience it has been!

We have enjoyed meeting lots of new people and earning some money to fund the next part of our travels. It's been hard staying in one place (when we had gotten used to waking up in new places everyday) but it's been a great experience and I think we'll appreciate travelling around even more. We have lots of great memories of the fun on the harvester, parties, card game competitions and going out for yummy thai food. Apparently, this harvest has been one of the toughest. The weather has been changeable and I think our wrists, fingers and backs will be happy to finally get to rest a little. However, I did enjoy feeling like wonderwoman picking up 1 metre long chunks of mud and tossing them over!

Tofay, our plan is to try and scrub off some of the kumara mud and go for one last walk somewhere around Dargaville. Then tonight there is an end of Harvest party with everyone. A good way to end our time here.

We are then staying with friends before hitting the road. Our rough plan is to head down the west coast, through Hamilton, Raglan, Lake Taupo, New Plymouth and down to Wellington. Keep checking in with my blogs to read about how we're getting on!

Thanks for now x gf v x
