Hello!
Between customers today, I have been planning my next bake off (this sounds like it's a planned event - it's just me wanting to bake lots of delicious things). Now what to make...decisions, decisions...
My favourite ingredients to use in baking would definitely have to be chocolate (any chocolate really), peanut butter and raspberries. I am currently sitting looking at Orkney Wine's Raspberrylicious and Strubarb liqueur (strawberry and rhubarb). Now, bubbles + Raspberrylicious or Strubarb = wow!! So, I am wondering which recipes could work well with either liqueur, seeing as the raspberrylicious worked perfectly in my raspberry dark chocolate brownies.
I am definitely going to try making my own Reese's peanut butter cups this week seeing as they are the BEST THING EVER (in my opinion)! I was so happy when I found boxes of them for sale in Kirkwall Lidl last week (I may have bought most of the shop's worth - woops!). So that's one thing for my bake off.
Here's some other gluten free baking delights I've got my eye on:
- Homemade bounty bars
- White chocolate blondies (I am thinking this could work well with Strubarb)
- Rhubarb brownies (with a touch of Strubarb?!)
- Peanut butter walnut butter bread
- Raspberry, chocolate & hazelnut bread (with a dash of raspberrylicious?!)
- Raspberry & white chocolate traybake (definitely with raspberrylicious in the mix)
- Baked buttermilk donuts with a strawberry rhubarb (Strubarb) glaze - I really want to try making donuts!
Watch this space...
If you're like and me and get extremely peckish reading/looking at recipes then you'll also be heading for a snack now.
Ciao for now!
