A rubbish view? Nah not in Orkney!

To save up some money for my travels in the New Year, I am working at the Orkney Wine Company selling delicious vegan Wines and Liqueurs. This is a family business and the products are created, bottled and labelled here in Orkney without using any suplhur (most wines use suplhur and that is what gives you a very sore head the next day!).

Whilst I stand behind the counter, I feel very lucky as I can see Lamb Holm beach, Scapa Flow and the Italian Chapel (built during World War II by Italian prisoners of war). If you are visiting Orkney then our Wine shop and the Chapel are two must sees (I am not biased I promise!).

Currently I am flicking through recipes and deciding what is on the menu for tonight. I am thinking that oven baked red pepper risotto with crumbled feta on top could be a hit - does that sound good? Well it's veggie AND gluten free yippee!

I will post some photos later - even if it's not a success (risotto isn't the easiest thing to make as you'll probably know but worth the challenge!).

Thanks for reading!
